The Perils of Being Good….

It’s publication day for my latest fairy tale retelling.

The Princess on the Glass Hill is exactly the sort of fairy tale I dislike. The princess is nothing more than the prize at the end of her fathers test, and has no agency of her own. I wanted to re-tell the story and give her desire and a life of her own, and I definitely needed to rewrite the ending.

My version of the story: The Perils of Being Good is published at Crow and Cross Keys Magazine. You can read it here.
