It’s publication day for my essay Patterns of Leaving and Return.

This is the second essay to be published from my memoir collection, and in it I explore why women return to their abusive husbands (an average of seven times) before they finally get free. My own experience as a young wife is interwoven with the Hansel and Gretel fairy story.
